Tidds and Bitts...

Kids are weeeeeds! This little cutie flew through the 6 month milestone on August 9th. He loves to lay on his stomach when he sleeps, but he's learned to sleep on his side instead because of having a paranoid momma who rolls him back over at all hours of the night!  The swaddle has been a life safer.. have used it for the past 4.5 months and he has slept through almost every single night without fail.. but length wise he has come to the end of using the swaddle (tear).. We cant tell if he really loves to read books or if it is just high levels of enthusiasm and excitement at the thought of getting ahold of that book to chew on.. either way, it is adorable to read to him because his face lights up and he becomes very 'animated' as his Gramma describes it. 'Star Baby, Go Dog Go, and Boom Chicka Boom Boom' are among 3 of his favorite books at home. At his Mimi's house he has a dozen. He looooves his Mimi and being at her house. He's concluded that Lily and Addie are there for his entertainment and expects them to spend their day doing just that.. 
Bananas are a fave... Carrots, squash, peas, green beans...Recently Gramma let Jax pick Kellen's food. so being the loving big brother he is he opted to buy him PRUNES.. Just a note to self for new moms, only feed prunes to a baby once every other couple of weeks !!! (thanks jax and gramma for that mess! ha)
The Bumbo has been a (pricey!) but fun little buy.. From almost 3 months old until now it has been an awesome way for him to set up, great for pictures when you want something other then a baby laying down, and doubled as his feeding chair because it was easy to set on the table and feed him with minimal mess.. but now that he is strong enough to push back with his legs, we're gonna have to retire the Bumbo and graduate to a high chair!  oh and last but not least.... HE HAS A TOOTH!!  he has one and a half teephers!! SO cute, a tad drooley and messy at all times, and look out! dont let him bite ya !! :)

This momma decided to go out for the first time in a year and a half...

If you can classify driving to the 'ville and dinner at Mojito's as 'going out', then I guess
we painted the town red! Good conversation, and even a show from the mushy corner booth couple to our left sampling salt off of each others wrists? really? get a room!! (and eat some food, there is zero reason to weigh 75lbs! ) We'll just say there is a cell phone floating around somewhere with the entire saga documented and commentary courtesy of Gretchen... good times!
