crisp spring day.. in December

I would call this a wordless post, but typically I've always got something to say.. a sentence or two's worth at least. On our way to the library the other day we ventured over to the square for these.

Jax had just gotten out of the dentist and had a front tooth pulled.. That would be his 3rd tooth gone. Gramma gave him a great glow in the dark tooth container to store it in for the tooth fairy. She left him 3 dollars again. She must be a tooth fairy trying desparately to teach children the value of a dollar!!

Day after Christmas, zoom zoom.

The day after Christmas Jaxson got here ready to rumble through all of his gifts at Gramma's house. Aunt Dana and Gramma really hooked him up with some great new toys and games! Just like the rest of us, he is blessed to have them.

I like getting pics of Jon with his kiddos, and Jax always gets a sweet little smile when he takes pictures with his dad. its cute.

Jaxson approved of the dune racer and has been driving it all over the neighborhood. and its sweet how kellen just lets jaxson drive all the time, and doesnt fuss about it or get upset. With Kellen as his side kick they have romped through the fields and zoomed down the road at lightning fast speeds.. ha  Kellen just rides along, smiling the entire time. loves every minute. Its one thing for Pops to drive him around on a 4wheeler, but hes liking this dune racer car with jaxson driving also!

Its December, what we thought was a winter month but the temps have felt more like spring. we've been soaking up the outdoors. some family tag, and even a little off roading. This thing can go anywhere!
you did good Santa, you did good!

A Davis Christmas morning...

We left Santa a nice sugary sweet treat and went to bed.. Kellen is really too little to understand it all, but Jon and I had fun hanging the stockings and getting everything ready for his little Christmas morning. His dune racer is AWESOME and we figured he could get good use out of it for several years, but our favorite gift to him was his very first Bible. Happy birthday Jesus.
Look what we found under the tree...he came walking in with a smile and said ,'Oh wow, thats biiiig!'   hes priceless

Sweetest baby. so fun to get gifts for as he is usually excited and happy about whatever he gets. At this age whats great is you can get bath goods and gummies, things you need anyways, and dont have to break the bank with 85 toys they dont play with anyways. Love it.
My mom got us this PERFECT family ornament for 2011.
My favorite one of the Year!

After a couple cups of christmas blend, some gifts, and one bright green dune racer later, my parents came over to go to church with us.. I tell you what, this baby loves his grand parents. He talks about them all the time and is a happy little lark when they are around. They love him to pieces and pics like this make me happy as a jay bird. tweet!
                                                             On our way to church
                                                                Christmas day, 2011

we decided to take the new set of wheels for a test drive.. he's a couple inches too short to drive it! but thats ok, we'll call that growing room, and we can use a couch pillow to help him out! He loves it.
Merry Christmas from my heart to yours!

Christmas at the Kranks.. I mean my brothers house.

I realized about 15 minutes after being at my brothers house this year for Christmas Eve that the same movie was playing on their flat screen that had been on the year before.. Christmas at the Kranks!
This year was a 'fish fry' theme thanks to me telling them what to have. (sorry angie).. My bro had been on a 2 week fishing trip to Alaska this past year and brought back tons of halibut. so fish fry we had! complete with hush puppies and everything else imagineable as both my mom and my grandma brought lots of goodies.YUM

Above is my brother and angie and Cameron, Ashton, and Lily.. and below is my sister and niece Brittany.. and the dorito cheesin little stinker in the middle would be my baby cakes K!

Gracie showed quite the enthusiasm when she opened all of her gifts.. and Angie too!
2nd year in a row I've drawn Angie's name and gotten her Twilight Woods.. were gonna have to rock the boat a little next year ang.. cant be getting to predictable.. oh wait a minute.. you guys wont BE here! you'll be at Disney world!!!!!!! :)
Brittany is looking all colors of purty in this one.. it was nice to have her here for the holiday even though we didn't get to see her as much as we would have liked. She is definitely one of those people that can really brighten up a room. especially if kids are around.. love you Louisa Mandella the 33rd! Its still wierd that she moved off..I was hoping it would be for about 6 months and then she'd be back. ha but its lookin like shes gonna eventually make Alabama her home :( makes me sad.

On a brighter note, here is a great pic of Jon showing off his mad skillz on the dance floor. We had a cardio kickin good time with Ashton's xbox kinect dance games.. my mans got moves!! (i knew that already)
                                                                                   :)

All of us girls.. I love them all more then they know. each completely awesome and beautiful!

Lily doesnt have a choice but to be fiesty and like to dance. with a junior high sister thats a cheer leader, she cant help but be around dancing and cheering 24 hours a day. ha  and check out my sweet cakes, hes keepin the beat!!
Great great great and fabulous christmas eve spent with our loved ones.. My brother and fam will be out of town next Christmas eve so Jon and I may end up hosting it at our house.. I might have to cook or bake something.. eeek
im excited to see how it goes!
:)

Abundantly Blessed on Christmas Eve

Since the bday of Jesus fell on a Sunday this year, we opted to change plans up a little this year so we could all attend church service Sunday morning.
Christmas Eve was a day of abundance for us.. abundance of gifts, abundance of family and love, abundantly blessed, and most importantly... abundantly stocked up on starbucks christmas blend! mmmm, our favorite :)
Gramma pulled out all the stops with her nine course feast of a breakfast followed by her fabulous gifts. four grand boys present, wrapping paper flying everywhere, and I of course had either my camera or my coffee in hand at all times.
we almost got the four of them set down and cooperative for an under the tree shot.. 3 out of 4 anyways.. and then theyre off!
Kellen is checkin out Brody's new wheels. We got a good laugh out of these two this year.. it seemed Kellen was more interested in what Brody got and Brody was playing with everything Kellen had. and thankfully Caden and Reece were good sports because Kellen was helping everyone open their gifts to see what they got.
Jon's love for shoes has been passed on to Kellen.. or so Gramma would tell it.. lol
... and who doesnt loooove ornaments.. Dana stocked Gramma up with some fabulous ornaments this year.

Kellen played great with his cousins and had a ball.
                                                                            Great morning
