(late) 19 Month Milestone...

Well a LATE 19 month milestone post is better than none at all...
The gloomy (but appreciated) rainy weather plus about a 10 day sicker -than- a- dog stint resulted in a few things being delayed.
I ran by the dollar store last week in an effort to pick up a few last minute things for Jon's birthday. Now, I know everyone and their sisters best friend have over used the 'lollipop' pics with kids, but when I randomly found it in the dollar store I thought what the heck!
He didnt skip a beat.. As soon as Jon handed him the sucker he was loving it. A perfect prop to get a wild baracuda toddler to set still for a picture :)
However, when it was time to be done with pics he certainly didnt think he was done enjoying his candy! As you can see it got a little messy.. or 'it's stiicky' as he said himself.
19 months old and this baby amazes me every single day.. We are without a doubt at the ridiculously adorable stage with him. We'll be in the living room playing or watching 'tee dee' and he'll just get up and go into the bathroom, get a kleenex out of the top drawer, walk out, wipe his nose with the kleenex, and then walk to the kitchen and open the pantry door and throw the kleenex in the trash.. and then come back to the living room and continue playing. ??whaaaaat?? Is he 19 months old or 11 ??!!
A few days ago he was still in his pj's for the morning, I changed his diaper, wrapped it up and set it over to the side of the bed (to throw away in a few minutes when finished.).. I said 'I think I'll go ahead and get you dressed, i'll be right back.' In the time it took me to go to his room to get his clothes, he got off the bed and went to the kitchen and threw his dirty diaper in the trash.. I was standing in the hall way as he came back around the corner from the kitchen and he said, 'shoo, its stinky' and then climbs back up on the bed so I can get him dressed......again, ???
Never a dull moment!
Jon and I have a lot of down time together right now to spend with him each week and its great... It's fun watching your child develop such a good relationship with his dad. He's a Momma's boy tried and true but with each passing day he is growing closer to his 'dadee'.  Jaxson got here tonight for his weekend visit and we were all playing hide n seek... Jax was hiding under the toy table and Kellen was standing beside him. Jon and I walked in the room and Kellen says, 'wheres jak? I dun know!'
He's putting together new sentences every day at this point.. every HOUR
He calls Jaxson 'jak' most of the time. Jaxson has a poster in his room with him playing baseball and every time Kellen sees it he says, 'jak paying baeball'
Trucks are big right now for him... or 'tuukss' as he says with a very serious expression on his face.
Jon has been working out with a fury lately (as you might have noticed in recent pictures, hot-T).. anyways, he's got Kellen flexing and showing his muscles in the mirrors..  K's poses look more like karate chops but priceless all the same!
My dad, his POPS, took him 'driving' the other day in his truck and he is hooked.. Jon and I have let him 'drive' several times in the last few weeks... he says, 'I wanna dwive'  and moves his fists like hes steering the wheel and does this wiggle dance all at the same time... omg, HOOT

A good dad with his kid is like nothing else... My dad, my brother, and my husband are the three best dads I know.

Jon turns 30!!

Without further 'a-do'... the rockin hott Mr. Davis turned the big 3-0 this past week. I think 30 looks good on him. He's a wonderful dad, and the sweetest husband a girl could ask for...not to mention he looks the best I've ever seen him.  HOTTIE
I doubt i'll be winning any awards for decorator of the year with this one, but he did get the Razorback hat he's been wanting, a card that made him laugh, and a delicious homemade cake! YUM
and the weekend before his family fit the bill for an overnight trip to Branson where his mom made dirt cake for him and took him shopping.

-----------
We had a busy weekend booked up with birthday parties, photo shoots, and hog tailgating but unfortunately the rainy weather put a damper on all our big plans... or maybe it was more of a blessing in disguise as I have been sick for over a week now.. At first it seemed like I would just lose my voice for a couple days and that would be the extent of it but its now turned into full on sick! the whole nine yards.. blah. In between coughing my head off, haven't felt like doing much of anything except hanging with the Davis boys at home and sleeping. ZZZ
Our cutie pie turned 19 months back on the 9th. We had Clay and Racheal over a few weeks back and Madeline was here so we broke out the bumbo seat for her...
When Kellen sat down in it I couldn't help but remember when he was Madeline's size using the seat for the first time. It's only been a matter of months ago, but it seems like forever. Look at how much he's grown since the days of the bumbo chair!

One thing hasn't changed, and that is his big bright smile and adorable personality.. One of his favorite words these days is 'stuck'. so of course when he went to get out of the bumbo seat he said 'i'm stuuuck, im stuuck.'
if his ball or bat is under something or he cant get a toy to cooperate, 'it's stuuuuck' or if he is in a bind for a split second, 'i'm stuuuck'.. as a parent this is priceless even if you hear it 85 times in one day :)

As always I uploaded pictures off of my phone so I know the quality is wonderful on these... but above our pet raccoon is on the loose again. This is a great example of two of his new favorite things; turning light switches off and on and pulling up these two chairs to all the furniture so he can climb up!
'get the wite, peas peas' is what I hear every day now. He wants to be the one turning the light switches off and on as we leave a room.
Jon and I crack up every day watching him on car rides.. He gets his head phone set, adjusts it to his head size, and turns it on and starts laughing at his movie. He's been doing this for months. It seems crazy to think that a baby can comprehend head phones for the car tv! unreal!
(by the way, T.V. is 'tee dee')
waffles are wah dahs
chocolate milk is chok
water is waddur
and if he needs me he says, 'i want the momma'
My uncle Ted and Aunt Carol got him this fun new train table and my parents brought it over last week.. Jon was a sweetie and put it together for him this weekend. Kellen loves it! It's always fun to watch him get all excited over new toys, especially neat ones like this big ol thing.
Maybe when the weather clears up we can get some 19 month pictures taken.... this momma is hopin!
:)
I love you Dubya!
