Turkey day was one of many thankful blessings for this girl... I went to write a blog that morning and was listening to the kids playing legos together at the kitchen table and couldnt help but sip my coffe and smile at the moment of peaceful family bliss... of course being that it was my crew, it was short lived and I was off the computer within minutes having to break up whatever disagreement they were having at the time.. Needless to say it was not a completed blog post! ha
Kellen is sailing through the one year of age thing like a gust of wind.
There is just too much cuteness.
The T zoo last week was a huge success for us, K loves animals and his expressions and excitement to see them all did not disappoint. He of course went ape over all the different monkeys and even thought the lizards were funny to watch. The grizzly bear got right in his face and was breathing and fogging up the other side of the glass. Kellen said, 'oh wow' and staired back at him. When he saw the lion he kept telling him 'hi lion king'.. and of course he loved the train ride.. choo choo.
He has become good buds with the neighbors cat, 'Manny'. They each look for the other one when they're outside. Kellen walks over to the neighbors house and rings the door bell and bangs on the front door yelling 'maaaaaneeeee' .. luckily the lady works during the day and misses my child ringing her doorbell 20 times before I finally tell him Manny must be napping and we need to let him sleep. So then yesterday, I was out in the garage pilfering through Christmas decor and who strolls up our drive, none other then Manny, just a meowin himself into a frenzy.. and I had to tell him Kellen was inside nappin.. oh the irony. :)
his smile is infectious.. its priceless to hear him tell people what animal noises each one makes. frogs say bibbit and ducks still say 'kak, kak' .. when i rock him at night he sings to me now.. 'rockin the baybee' rockin the baybee' there are just no words for how adorable it is. hes a sweet heart for sure. if he sees one of us has an owie he says 'oh nooo' and 'i sorry' and pats and hugs.. priceless i tell ya.
There are days his hair gets a little wild but for now were leaving it, we love it. i'm guessing everyone already knows this , but gummies and dum-dum suckers are handy to keep in the momma bag for times like shopping.. they have been a GREAT discovery in our case as our little 90 to nothing toddler will not set still in a shopping cart, and his good days of being kept in a stroller are numbered as well!
